OC22, a supplier of hot and cold beverages and disposable cups made from plant and compostable materials for the hospitality sector, has brought its logistics operations in-house. To do this, it has installed the Easy WMS warehouse management system by Mecalux along with a complete range of pallet racks at its installation in Vigneux-sur-Seine, France.
With this recently commissioned project, the company set out to perform its storage, order prep and distribution tasks all on its own, thereby cutting logistics costs.
At OC22’s warehouse, which operates at different temperatures, the WMS organises goods receipt and storage and order preparation based on the requirements of Odoo, the firm’s ERP. Easy WMS optimises operator tasks and movements to gain in reliability and productivity.
Orders are delivered in three different ways: they are sent by an internal carrier, delivered by an external agency (such as Geodis, STEF or Chronopost, among others) or picked up by the customers themselves. Mecalux installed the Multi Carrier Shipping module to speed up dispatches and automate communication between Easy WMS and the transport agencies.
